First, rainwater falls onto a catchment devise, usually a rooftop, and then the water is transported to the first flushing devices. The first flushing device is a roughing filter that remove debris from the rainwater. After the large particles are removed, the water is stored in storage tanks. The water is then filtered through a 20-micron filter, a 5-micron filter, a multi-cartridge 1-micron filter, and a UV water purifier to purify the water. If the water will be used for potable applications, the water will also be processed through a charcoal filter to remove any odors and tannins from the water. The water is then stored in a pressure tank until needed.
